Install and pair the PC

Assign the Windows account

Choose which child uses each standard Windows account. Protection follows the signed-in account—not every person using the PC.

  • Assign Alex to Alex’s Windows account.
  • Leave parent and administrator accounts unassigned.
  • Browsers follow the same account assignment.

Set focus time

Choose the weekly times when focused website and app rules should apply.

  • Add more than one time block per day.
  • Turn individual days on or off.
  • Use Focus now when the schedule needs a temporary override; switching it off restores the schedule.
  • Choose the schedule time zone. Copy another child’s schedule by selecting their name.
  • Running blocked apps get a 15-second save-work warning before closing.

Choose apps and website rules

Decide what is unavailable during focus and which websites are always blocked or allowed.

  • Select apps from the PC’s synced inventory.
  • Add blocked and focus-allowed website domains.
  • Use optional Shared Rules and child-specific exceptions.
  • Basic Web Shield checks configured unsafe-site lists and suspicious addresses; no automatic threat feed is connected.

Manage everything from the portal

Once assigned, the PC and supported browsers check for updated rules automatically.

  • See what is connected and when it last checked in.
  • Adjust schedules, apps, and websites without reinstalling.
  • Use manual browser pairing only if automatic pairing does not occur.

Changes sync automatically

Connected browsers and Windows PCs check for changes about every 30 seconds. Offline devices update after reconnecting.

Approve requests and breaks

Children can request a blocked website or ask for a focus break. Review pending requests from your phone or computer.

  • Requests shows a pending count. Home alerts appear only while requests are pending.
  • Approve for 15 minutes, one hour, or until midnight—or decline.
  • Website approvals allow the requested domain temporarily. Focus breaks pause scheduled focus and Focus now, not always-blocked websites.
  • Approvals expire automatically; safety blocks stay on. Active approvals can be ended early.

Control with your phone

The parent portal works on your phone. A bottom navigation bar puts Home, Children, Devices, Shared Rules, and Requests within easy reach.

  • Switch focus on or off, manage devices, and approve requests.
  • Tap your name for Settings, My Account, Help, and Sign out.
  • Hide helpful information from My Account once you know your way around.
  • Add the portal to your iPhone or Android Home Screen for quick access.
