School Privacy

Effective September 26, 2026

ClearGuard gives schools practical classroom controls while keeping its collection of student information limited and visible.

ClearGuard does not capture screen images or recordings, keystrokes, passwords, private messages, camera or microphone data, or location data.

Information used by the school service

ClearGuard may process school, classroom, teacher, student-display-name, device connection, website hostname, browser-tab title, and application-status information needed to provide configured classroom features. Sharing status is shown to the student.

How information is used

Information is used to connect authorized users and devices, apply school and classroom website rules, display connection status, support class-focus features, secure the service, and provide technical support.

School control and responsibility

The school or organization controls its ClearGuard environment and decides which authorized accounts, students, devices, classrooms, and policies to connect. Schools are responsible for providing required notices, obtaining any necessary permissions, and configuring ClearGuard consistently with their policies and applicable law.

Limited access and disclosure

School information is available only to authorized users and service providers needed to operate ClearGuard. We do not sell student information, use it for behavioral advertising, or create commercial profiles of students.

Retention and deletion

School-service information is retained only as needed to provide and secure the service or meet legal obligations. Schools may request correction or deletion through their administrator or by following our data deletion process.
